Ice Portal concludes an exciting project in Harrison’s Cave, Barbados. Travelers are invited to experience it through our new 360 Media Gallery- but first here little bit about this unbelievable place in the Caribbean:
On the trail of ecotourism, one of the most famous attractions of Barbados, Harrison’s Cave, was discovered in the early eighteenth century by one of the landowners of the island, it is considered one of the most beautiful places on the planet and allows the traveler to immerse themselves in a beauty that includes stalactites and stalagmites, pools, underground rivers, amazing rock formations, and even “rains cave”!
Ice portal’s 360 Media Gallery invites the traveler to take a visual tour of the caves! After entering a lounge with a fine exhibition of photos and prints, you descend to a staircase in the woods (calm down, to go up there is an elevator). Steps later, you arrive at a terrace that reveals some of the best angles to shoot the fig tree “bearded” that is the symbol of the country. After a few clicks, you settle comfortably in an auditorium to watch the great video that explains the geological formation of Barbados (and, consequently, the cave) in a very educational way. From there, you arrive at the entrance of Harrison’s Cave. A car with three wagons is waiting with a driver and a guide. The vehicle descends slowly, an authentic experience, better than the best amusement parks in the world.

The most interesting point of the tour is when the train stops and the guide uses the remote to turn on the lights. It’s all beautiful: Stalactites, stalagmites, crystal clear waterways and various curious formations. On some occasions, you are allowed to disembark to look more closely at the overwhelming beauty. You can even taste the water! To get an idea of the visual, see photos and virtual tour below.
Check out any of the stunning production from beautiful Barbados at The Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association and take a tour for yourself!
