Henry: Joining me today is Weston Joslyn, Director of Social Media here at ICE Portal. Weston, you promote ICE on our Social networks but you are also in charge of integrating client content into the Social network channels that we support. What are they and why are they important?
Weston: Facebook, Flickr, Youtube, Google, Twitter to name a few. Go where your clients are. Building a brand today is all about engaging your audience.
Henry: That’s what I get - you ask a social media guy and he Tweets it! And the newly launched Facebook app- is that successful- what are clients saying?
Weston: Great reception from clients- it’s been a gratifying project to oversee. We’ve empowered hotels to show their rich media right inside Facebook.
Henry: How complicated is it to add ICE’s Visual Brochure Facebook app- what is the process?
Weston: Not at all. We receive a list of resorts to setup apps for and send the links back to the client. They click ‘add to page’ and done!
Henry: Would you recommend that hotels add more focus to the social channels?
